Administrative/Biographical History
Reginald "Reggie" Davenport first became acquainted with House Music in his native Chicago in the early 1990s. After enlisting in the Air Force, Davenport was stationed in northern England in the mid-1990s, and then to Tallahassee, Florida and later, Salt Lake City, Utah. In each location Davenport promoted Chicago's House Music style, D.J'ing at a variety of events, competitions, and dance, and collecting posters and flyers. While back in Chicago, Davenport recorded his favorite House Music shows on Chicago radio broadcasts to take back to the Air Force base. Davenport goes by the nicknames DJ Purple, the Duke of House, and Optymus Pryme, and operates a music business called Phantom Grey Enterprises.
