Scope and Contents: The collection includes recordings of lectures by composer/trombonist Melba Liston for Professor Smith’s Black Studies class (1971, 1973 and 1982), recordings of the soundtrack for “The Marijuana Affair” - composed by Liston and conducted by Smith (1975), and Smith’s solo piano improvisations (1982).
